Baby Ballet

TDA ballet classes start with Baby Ballet, where our specialised class introduces our younger students to the classroom setting to nurture, gain confidence, and understand the basic techniques of ballet.

This is a great introduction to dancing for those little feet!

ISTD Exams Grades 1 to 3 gives a GCSE grade C-F. Grades 4-6 gives a GCSE grade A-C. The grades above this attribute an A-Level once complete.

Ballet theatre

Classes available for the 5+yrs.

As our students develop their core ballet technique, they are given the opportunity to join our Ballet Theatre class to enhance their performance skills and learn additional ballet tricks.

As a performance class, when we approach show term, students will be able to apply everything they've learnt throughout the year towards their own dance in our annual showcase.

Pointe Work

Available for students from 11 years and of a Grade IV Ballet standard.

Pointe Work is started slowly and with care, to ensure a careful building of flexibility, strength, and technique.

As students gain confidence and technique, we progress to learning classical pointe work set pieces that all young dancers aspire to.

Students, upon reaching this level, really begin to appreciate the joy of their chosen discipline.

As a theatre school, we're always looking to test the boundaries of dance and style by creating our own standalone pieces.

Tap

Tap

Classes available for 4 ½ yrs to 16+yrs.

Tap is the discipline that appeals to all from a young to old. We all love to make a noise, especially children. Tap gives the children a chance to harness the ability for noise and turn it in to an ability to dance.

Tap begins with the Tappers & Boppers class at the age of 4 ½ yrs (this is a combined class between Tap and Foundation Commercial).

With time and dedication, students can aspire to the Elite Commercial Tap class, where varying styles of tap are undertaken in a performance class setting.
